Texas BBQ Chicken Pizza

I don’t know about you but I love a cheeky bbq pizza from Domino's but definitely not the price tag. You can make your own easy enough at home that taste absolutely banging, are lower in calories and higher in protein plus save a penny or two.

Notes

Make sure to use thick Greek yoghurt such as Fage over Greek style yoghurts, these hold too much moisture and make the dough very sticky to work with.
When combining your ingredients, if the dough is too sticky, add a touch of flour, equally if its dry add a touch of yoghurt. If your pizza base is soft underneath, it’s usually down to oven temperature or moisture.

Make sure your oven is fully preheated to around 200°C fan before baking. If it’s still not crisping, carefully slide the pizza directly onto the oven shelf for the final few minutes. If the centre feels slightly doughy, it may need a little longer in the oven or your base may be rolled too thick, so aim for a thinner middle and slightly thicker crust.

Turkey bacon can be used instead of bacon medallions. If you prefer a stronger smoky flavour, add 1 tsp chipotle paste to the BBQ sauce before spreading it on the pizza. You can also swap the chicken for BBQ pulled chicken if you have leftovers to use up.

Really liked the recipe but found the base a little doughy, I think if they base was pan fried on either side instead of pre baked it would fix this
