Chicken
Chicken breast can be used instead if preferred, but it will be slightly leaner and less juicy. If using breast, reduce the cooking time slightly to avoid it drying out. Crisping the chicken after slow cooking gives the best authentic kebab-shop style finish and adds extra flavour and texture.
Pickled Onions
To make quick pickled red onions, thinly slice the onion and mix with a pinch of salt, a splash of red wine vinegar and a squeeze of lemon juice. Leave for 15–20 minutes to soften and pickle slightly. For extra flavour, add crumbled feta before serving.
For a super easy dinner, use frozen oven chips.

Proper banging! I cheated with the chips & air fried rather than slow cooker (I KNOW how banging the slow cooker method would be but I’m moving house soon and the slow cooker is packed!!) Just perfect for a proper hot day

Super scrummy summer dinner! Loved that it was slow cooker as it helps when I’m busy and it’s boiling outside! Really enjoyed the taste and how easy it was to put together.
