Beef in Black Bean Sauce

This is my low faff way of making black bean beef that actually tastes banging. Using a supermarket stir fry sauce as the base and building on it with a few extras means you get big flavour without needing to source black bean paste. Perfect for a quick fakeaway at home, and even better for leftovers or freezer dinners.

Notes

If your steak isn’t very thin, lightly bash it with a rolling pin before slicing this helps keep it tender and gives you that takeaway style texture.

Subs
If you can’t get oyster sauce, use extra soy sauce and a small squeeze of hoisin for a similar depth.
Swap beef for chicken using the same method.

If you would prefer to make your own egg fried rice, see the recipe linked
