Apple Cinnamon Porridge

This cosy bowl of apple cinnamon porridge is like autumn in a spoon. Creamy oats are simmered with warming spice, topped with soft caramelised apples, Greek yoghurt, and a little Biscoff crunch. It’s easy to customise too!

Notes

For an added protein boost, stir through a scoop of vanilla or unflavoured protein powder at the end, or whisk in 2 egg whites during cooking for extra creaminess. For a little texture and crunch, add chopped nuts, seeds, or granola for more bite. To make it a little lighter, you can swap the honey in the apples for sugar free syrup if you prefer.

My go to breakfast these days. I now add only 10g of caramel sauce to the top which I account for in my ‘LoseIt’ app and feels like a very naughty (but very calorie conscious) breakfast!

Do you think you could prep this for a few days and it would be ok?

Absolutely, Danielle! Just prepare the porridge and apples as directed, then store them separately in airtight containers in the fridge. They should stay fresh for about 3 days, ready for quick reheats. Mix in a splash of milk or water when warming to keep it creamy. 😊

This was delicious. I never have stuff like this for breakfast so it was so nice to have something different and tasty! It’s also incredibly filling. One of the nicest things I’ve had so far on this app.

Mine looks terrible because its a bit 'on the go' and heated up at work 🤣 but it is delicious! Another hit for me as someone that always struggled to know what to have as a filling breakfast on busy mornings! Thank you!
