Notes

Bread - I used Danish bread for this recipe it's only 63 calories a slice but any of the 'small loaves' can be used. I tend to buy a loaf and freeze if you're unlikely to use it all. If not you can just use normal bread! If you want to keep it around the same calories, use two slices. Chocolate sauce - I've used the Sweet Freedom chocolate sauce for years now and it's one I really like. You can use any of your favourite spreads, you only need a small bit and you can microwave it before drizzling to loosen it. Higher protein - if you have protein powder, you can use a scoop mixed with the egg and milk to make this higher protein. You can use any flavour you like to switch things up. Fruit - some of my favourites to have in these bowls are raspberries, strawberries and sliced banana.

I swapped the blueberries for strawberries but it was lovely! I’m not a huge fan of Greek yoghurt but the chocolate sauce on the French toast tastes like pancakes. I made this as a Sunday brunch treat. Very nice xx

Made this today, found I had to use 2 eggs as half the bread soaked up all the mixture. But pretty good 😊

Made the french toast for breakfast this morning and it was delicious! I added a little bit of cinnamon to the egg and milk mixture 😋
