If you do not have protein powder you can sub it out for an extra tbsp of plain flour. You could use any flavour protein powder you have to hand. However, this recipe is made with whey protein and any other variation may require different levels of liquid. You can sub out the plain flour for blended oats however this will change the texture. If you cannot use dairy milk, almond milk can be substituted. Sweetness - the protein powder I have used is quite sweet. However, if you are unsure of how sweet your protein powder is (or you have a sweet tooth), I would recommend adding in a tsp of zero calorie granulated sweetener. You can omit the vanilla essence if using vanilla protein powder.

I used frozen raspberries and this was so good. I love that it all just goes into the bowl so there’s barely any washing up! Basically like cake for breakfast.

I didn't have baking powder so subbed for bicarb and lemon juice, which worked well. I also didn't have flavoured protein powder so for mine the taste wasnt great as I didn't put enough vanilla in. I will try again and make some changes The raspberries taste great.

I really enjoyed this recipe, and made it with an egg replacer which worked well however I'd only make it weekends and not on busy weekday mornings

Really enjoyed these - super easy to make, not sure why my raspberries sunk but it was still tasty! Personally for me the white chocolate didn’t add much taste so I think I will leave them out next time. Going to try with banana and biscoff next!

It's a fan oven. They are the smaller of my meal prep dishes, I usually use them for over night oats. Will defo go for the bigger ones next time 🤣 Had a sneaky taste of the exploded part..... it's sooooo good!

Can you use egg whites instead of an egg?

You can use egg whites, but it would make it drier. There isn't really any fats/emulsifiers from the other ingredients in the recipe. I would use a greek yoghurt with fat in rather than fat free if you were to do that, or if you don't mind it mashed banana or even some apple sauce
