Cozy Chicken Stew with Two-Ingredient 'Dumplings'

For me nothing is more cozy than snuggling up with a bowl full of chicken stew. This stew is topped with homemade two ingredients ‘dumplings’. Hearty enough on it’s own, but you can have with some creamy mash or some crusty bread for dunking. I've also listed a hob version below if you want to give it a go and the nutrition information without the 'dumplings'

Notes

I have used boneless chicken thighs for this to give the best tender meat. If you want to swap to chicken breasts, I would add during the last 1 1⁄2 hrs instead of from the start to keep it juicy. The stew without the dumplings is 309 calories per portion, 29.32g protein, 15.47g fat, 12.15g carbs

I’m using chicken breasts, but would you say to still add them an hour and A half before finishing if I’m cooking on low or would be be better on high ? 🙂

Left it in the slow cooker for too long because we were out however the meat was so tender and delicious! Never had dumplings before and put them in the slow cooker but ended up putting them under the grill for colour and they tasted good! My fussy boyfriend also ate it all! The filling would also be good in a pie!, have leftovers and would make again!
