Notes

  • Lamb mince works well in place of beef mince.

  • For extra volume, add shredded lettuce, diced peppers or extra cucumber and tomatoes.

  • Roasted aubergine or courgette work really well alongside the beef.

  • A drizzle of chilli oil over the hummus is delicious if you like a little extra heat.

  • Pitta bread can be used instead of flatbreads if preferred

  • Reduced fat hummus can be replaced with your favourite hummus variety. Harissa hummus works particularly well
