1. If your sauce doesn't thicken quick enough, you can add a cornflour slurry made up of 1 tsp cornflour and a tbsp water. Pour this into the sauce to thicken. 2. I always transfer to a wide pan towards the end to allow the sauce to go a little 'gloopy' along with it being easier to toss the chicken in the sauce. 3. The reason flour is used here to coat the chicken first is to allow the breading to adhere more efficiently. This is important for this recipe as you're tossing it in a glaze afterwards, so don't skip it! 4. I use a mixture of cornflakes and breadcrumbs for this recipe. The breadcrumbs help to give the chicken density, whilst the cornflakes give the chicken that crunchy texture. You can also fold in some sesame seeds if you want!

Cooked these a couple times already and are by far our favourite ones! Love the glaze that goes over them. So delicious and tasty!

Omg amazing!! 10/10 like TGIs sticky sesame chicken. Only thing I didn’t realise is not to mix the flour mixture with breadcrumb mixture - that it was a 3 step dipping process!! Still was yum though

You're spot on, Joanna! It's a helpful trick to keep them separate for the perfect crispy coating. So glad you enjoyed it! x

You could play around with a mix of apple and lemon juice but it may alter the taste
