Step 1
Heat a pan over low heat and melt 5g (1 tsp) reduced fat butter. Add 1 sliced white onion, ½ tsp sugar, and optionally 1 tsp balsamic glaze. Cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and golden. Add a splash of water if needed to help them caramelise without burning.

crispy chips/wedges (garlic parm ones would be banging), keep it fresh with a side salad
