Notes

Gnocchi: Fresh gnocchi works best here, but shelf stable gnocchi can also be used. You may need to cook it for a little longer in the pan and add an extra splash of stock or water if needed while it softens.

Ranch style seasoning: The dried herbs give the most classic ranch style flavour, but you can adapt it to what you have. Fresh parsley works well in place of dried parsley, and you can leave out the dill or chives if needed and replace with mixed herbs. The flavour won't be quite the same but they will work well with the other ingredients!

If using fresh herbs, add them towards the end rather than cooking them into the sauce for too long.

Bacon: Bacon medallions keep things a little leaner, but streaky bacon would be banging!

Cream / cream cheese: You can use all single cream or all cream cheese if that’s what you have. If using all cream, let the sauce simmer a little longer to thicken. If using all cream cheese, loosen with a splash of stock or milk until creamy.
