The slow cooker Balti has hob instructions if you don't have a slow cooker, plus it's a good one to double up on and you could have again in the same week. As always I hope you enjoy x
Chicken & Bacon ‘Carbonara’
I say carbonara as it is loosely based on the recipe by using eggs and cheese as the sauce but authentic by no means. I add chicken for extra protein and use what’s available at the supermarket in the form of bacon and parmesan cheese. I also like adding a spoonful of cream cheese for extra creaminess but this is optional. If you can get hold of it, guanciale and pecorino cheese are what authentic carbonara's use. Please have a quick read of the notes before you get started!
